Bud’s Auto Repair was founded in June of 1980 by Bud Seemann. Bud was a graduate of Des Moines Technical High School in 1973. He worked for a diagnostic mechanic for seven years before and after high school. Bud then moved to Huxley in 1978 and helped start a service station business while teaching at the Des Moines Tech High School.
The business has grown through the years and moved to its current location in 1999. In 2015, longtime Master Technician Dax Clark, who started working here in high school through the MOC program and is a graduate of the DMACC Automotive Program, purchased the business from Bud, but Bud still works here full time at the sales counter scheduling appointments and ordering parts, consulting customers as well as guiding and teaching technicians with his wealth of knowledge in the industry. 
We strive to bring the most current technology to Huxley and the surrounding communities with the small town service and the integrity that you deserve at a fair price. Our goal is to satisfy our customers the first time every time when they visit our establishment. Dax strives daily to keep up the excellent quality of service standard that Bud worked so hard to achieve throughout his time doing business in the Ballard Community.
